hooray for days off!

i had a rather lovely day yesterday. i had the day off and christie, lindsey and i went out for breakfast and for a little shopping trip. it was more of a window shopping and trying on day and we had a good time looking around and being girls. We ended up at Lindsey's house where we had a lovely avacado salad and spinach and cheese ravioli and revels for dessert. aaaand.. we went to see the fifth harry potter movie. even though we had bad seats (who knew people would be so punctual on opening night...) it was quite enjoyable. For those of you who read lindsey's blog, this will be a repeat but the fifth book was not overly wonderful. It was wonderful in the sense that it was Harry Potter but it just lacked the happiness and whimsy that the earlier ones have. It was kind of depressing. Nothing good happens to him. But the movie did not leave me feeling glum. They kept lightness in the way the characters interact and added some quirky little touches that didn't take away from the plot. All in all, I must say that I was impressed. I haven't been a huge fan of the movies up to now, but this one was really well done. hooray for harry potter!
